[ r7 ] honeymoon suite

Welcome to the Honeymoon Suite! After being matched at the Truth Booth and evening arrives, a car will come to pick up the lucky match and bring them to another side of the estate. It's a bit far from the main estate though if you really want to walk, you can.
It's a beautiful more modern house on the edge of a lake. There are eight bedrooms with lush, modern beds and bedding. A kitchen and private chef waiting for their orders. So many books and video games and all sorts of things to entertain themselves with! They can go swimming in the lake, or lounge on the patio, or anything they want. This is the life of luxury!
They can also just take the car back to the main estate if they want too. Because yeah, your friends are still all over at the other house.
no subject
And Ringo walks into the building arm-in-arm with Furina, peering around with eager enthusiasm.]
Woooow, lush! All of this just for us? Now we're really living it up!
[Perfect scenario for Bonding and Talking and definitely Banging.]
no subject
They've got so much to think about--a process that is definitely to involve a lot of Bonding and Talking and also Banging. Furina puts her things down and does a slow revolving spin in the middle of the entranceway, taking in everything around them.]
What a difference a couple of weeks can make. [Being surrounded by a large group the entire time has made this big house seem very quiet and a little empty. But when it comes to not having to hold herself up on camera... Furina is relieved. There's enough footage of her to hold up for a while.]
Oh, but I'll bet we've been given a room all to ourselves! [Hopefully a little less freaky than the one they'd found themselves in before.]
no subject
Hey, yeah! Looks like... well.
[Looks of open doors!]
We got here first, so we get our pick of the lot?
[Fancy!
... Ringo's also thinking along the same lines, that it'll be pretty quiet without everyone else. But! But they can always go back. And it's going to be kind of nice to get to know Furina without there always being cameras or people snooping.
Scratch that. It's going to be very nice.]
Preferences on which room?
no subject
[Furina makes sure to check every bedroom, measuring the differences between them. She can't imagine that, as a "prize" for getting things right, anything about any of these suites is lacking. Unless any of them are especially personalized for the intended occupants (which, no, wouldn't that give them an undue advantage?), they're not going to find anything beyond aesthetic differences.
Paradoxically, this makes deciding on one all the more difficult, so Ringo will have to put up with a bit of scrutinizing and pondering, Furina all furrowed in thought. She ends up lingering by one of the corner suites--one that offers a nice view and is notched into a comfortably quiet area of the estate.]
Well, what's your evaluation? [Ringo probably has a mathematically determined idea of which one will offer the best experience.]
no subject
Eventually... she just grins, propping her hands on her hips.]
I like... this one!
[she points to the corner suite, solely because she's noticed Furina glancing at it more than the others, and solely because Furina seemed to like it most.]
Though they're all pretty nice. What about you?
no subject
So I was being too obvious, wasn't I? [Still...she appreciates that Ringo noticed and is willing to accommodate this for her.]
We can look out at the grounds from here, [she muses.] And it'll allow in a nice amount of sunlight without waking us too early.
[She's not used to sharing a bed...sleepovers and cuddle piles exempted...and Furina's thinking about all the things she might do, like snore or hog all the covers.]
no subject
Maybe a little.
[Caught by Furina so easily... seems they've both gotten used to Perceiving each other.]
But I like your reasoning, too! It sounds really nice to sleep in with you without having to worry about people waking us up or something crazy happening.
no subject
[Furina's capriciousness is well-documented. Her attention span never fully recovered from digesting dramatic snippets of human lives that she consumed in tiny pieces.]
Honestly, it's a little difficult to imagine anything being boring around you. [Ringo has such a novel perspective on most things. This might be something like a honeymoon phase, but honestly, isn't that literally what this suite is called?
Besides, there are more serious things to consider and discuss now that the film crew is mostly leaving them alone. Maybe Furina just hasn't fully started to consider it.]
no subject
Also that's potentially the nicest compliment anyone's ever given Ringo... she's so pleased that Furina doesn't think it could be boring around her. There's a chipper smile on her face in response, and she reaches out for Furina's hand now that they're done investigating so she can thread their fingers together.]
You know it! I'll do my best to keep you very focused on me while we're here.
[Despite how that sounds, she doesn't mean it just in a filthy way. There are other things on her mind too.
But.
Sex is also on her mind, she's not shy or ashamed of it.]
And we can still go back and visit the others too, it sounds like. I figure we'll both want to do that. We've both made some good friends, haven't we?
no subject
What a grand troupe of people they managed to recruit for this show, indeed... It's only been a short while, but I can't imagine not having met them. [Or her. That should go without saying, but maybe Furina isn't sure how to say it with the meaning it demands. What a difference it makes from a life that was both nothing but and had nothing to do with time. Furina looks down at their joined hands, like she needs to remind herself that this sort of thing is real, then throws herself down on their newly claimed corner suite bed. Better test it out now in case they got a squeaky or uncomfortable one.]
You want to go back for visits, but what this about your clever plan of action for keeping my focus on you? [She'd just said that she doesn't feel like she'll ever get bored around Ringo, but Furina can play up the side of herself that is needlessly capricious and flighty, bored on a whim, though doing it too much might become difficult for her.]
no subject
And then she turns to face Furina properly, curled up a little on her side to look at her properly.
"Clever plan of action" is it...?]
I don't have one.
[Simply, comfortably, as she reaches out to tuck a strand of Furina's hair behind her ear.]
But there are a lot of things I want to do with you, so I'm hoping that will keep your attention on me. Kissing, of course, and making good use of this bed, and listening to you sing... but also, I just want to talk more. There's so much I want to know about you, you know?
no subject
Are you sure you want to shatter your illusion of me as Fontaine's former number one star?
[Sure, there have always been reporters who have tried to get a closer look at her. Charlotte is still hoping to publish that piece that will let people know more about the "real Furina" that she can't bring herself to agree to yet. Citizens who managed audience with her especially had surely felt some parasocial knowledge of Furina that never really existed in the first place. And as close as her newfound friendships grow, many of them have focused on forging a new future, which she doesn't mind at all.
No one has yet to really share everything, completely new to her, with Furina being the only thing they really know about her self.
She moves closer, drawn in by the hand that gently tucks behind her ear, lured forward by a touch she's both shy about and starved to receive.]
There are things I lived with for a long time just to myself. But... I want to hear more from you, too. Where do you suppose is even a good place to start?
no subject
I don't really know you as Fontaine's former number one star, so. No worries about shattering any illusions!
[Ringo knows Furina as... the woman who made her think about music, the woman who taught her to dance--both on the dance floor and in private--and the woman who makes her heart flutter in her chest, even if it's not real.]
But I do want to know about your life then... and your life now... the things you like and don't like, and the things that make your heart skip a beat in your chest. And... I'm really happy to share those things with you too.
[And beat, and she smiles, gently rueful amusement.]
But we're kind of on opposite ends of the spectrum with how much we've got to tell, right?
[Ringo's two months, and Furina's five hundred years.]
no subject
[Still carefully, because even without cameras that could disseminate this information to the general public, Furina feels a strange wall when navigating this history.
Furina closes her eyes. For a moment, she wonders if she could pretend to doze off and maybe really fall asleep here, taking a nap instead. Eyes still shut, she eventually speaks a few more soft murmurs.]
It might come as quite the surprise to learn the distance between us might be less substantial than you think. For most of my life that I can remember, I was playing my longest and last role, until the curtain finally fell on my performance.
no subject
But right now, they have time.
But Furina speaks, and Ringo's lips curve into a smile at that display of willing trust as she listens.]
You... were playing a role.
[... Like the person Ringo saw when the ghosts thing was happening?]
... So you couldn't be yourself that whole time? ... For most of your life. But--that's... five hundred years, Furina.
i don't think a single person cares about genshin spoilers but just in case, they're in this thread
At her darkest, she'd doubted herself, but now, she knows that she would do it again. The people of Fontaine deserved to be absolved. But it had been...so...]
Just like any role, I walked away when the performance was over. I have nothing to do with godhood anymore, nor do I want to. And yet at some point, that person became inseparable from who I "really" am. So...Where do you suppose is best for me to begin?
no subject
Aion has been around longer than that, but Ringo isn't Aion. She has no concept of that sort of time.
... Her brow furrows a little, and she reaches out, brushing her fingers gently against Furina's cheek.]
... Tell me things you want me to know. Tell me... whatever you've got on your chest, anything you've wanted to get off of it.
I like to think I'm a pretty good listener, you know? And--I want to know all of that.
[Since five hundred years of--what, "godhood"?--is too much to just go through from the beginning onwards.]
no subject
Furina takes a deep breath, physically able to feel herself rising and falling slightly tucked up to Ringo's side.]
Okay, then... Let me tell you about the Vision, which has only been in my possession for a short while. Though it's hard to believe, I was only a human with immortality. I had to pretend at having any power at all.
[So the abilities she possesses now are truly hers and earned by her, after everything was said and done. Furina sorts out the order in which to explain things in her head, absently touching at that glowing gem tucked into her outfit. Then she quietly begins.]
week 4 monday....
So, sure, they can make the trek over and join in for a discussion about the strategy for the hint and partake in their slices of cake, but they can always do that much later in the day. Right now, she's content to snuggle in the morning light on the patio, uncharacteristically a little bit quiet. They've embraced so much spontaneity during their time here, but more time also leads to more thinking.]
I can scarcely believe the curtain will fall soon... on this production, anyway! [She's hopeful that other things will go on much longer.]
no subject
No, it's just her and Furina, and that's especially cozy when Furina is snuggled close, and when the sunlight is spilling in just right so as to not fall in their eyes.
So Ringo's also comfortably snuggling, though she does peer over thoughtfully at that.]
Hmmm... that's true. We've only got a week left now.
[A contemplative pause. Idly, she reaches out to smooth out some stray curls, mussed from Furina's sleep.]
Got something in particular on your mind?
no subject
It's strange, that's all. I suppose time really doesn't wait for anyone. Barely any has passed at all, and yet I now have these feelings that are so unbearably strong.
[Furina's always felt things deep inside herself, a forever-moving current, and they have always been strong and turned quickly. These are somehow different, like something that surged and now refuses to recede.]
Do you remember our conversation during dancing lessons? [It seems like a very long time ago now, even though it was less than two weeks.]
no subject
Ringo smiles to herself a little, and keeps petting Furina's hair even though some of the bedhead has been tamed.]
I remember. About walking forward side-by-side, right?
Moving forward into the future like that.
no subject
If she stays, however, she might linger for too long, and she might lose track of the conversation, so she props herself up on one elbow. It isn't enough to remove her from the pets entirely, but it does look much more focused.]
That's what I mean. How are you feeling now?
[Feelings in general are what she wants to talk about the most.]
no subject
Even more confident than before.
[The answer comes easily, but no less certain for it.]
If I've got an option to make a choice where I can stay with you, then that's what I'm going to do.
[A beat, and she admits more quietly, almost shy:]
... I don't wanna let this go.
no subject
Neither do I. I don't want our story to be just a footnote. [Just a limited engagement...something that lasts the span of this show and then collapses when reality settles in. She expected partings...partings have a way of eliciting fondness, of course, but there had been hope in Furina's heart that Ringo wouldn't find the need to move on so soon, in search of answers or experiences that were outside of this one.]
But I also want to know--[She's struggling a bit, and there's a part of her that wonders if Ringo also has a sense for what's trying to struggle out of her, too.] If you feel--
no subject
The fact that she wants to write her own story... something Ringo wants to do as well, now that she has the words for it.
...]
... If I feel...? [A tilt of her head, and Ringo smiles, calm and certain. Nothing Furina asks could bother her, she's sure of that.] If I feel what?
no subject
It's her turn to be shy now, her words and actions tender and careful. The back of her slightly blanch-scarred knuckles touch Ringo's cheek as they ghost across it.]
I don't only want to continue our connection because I want to experience new things in life with you
no subject
Not just to experience new things in life.
Then...
... Then...?
Ringo props herself up on an elbow as well to look at Furina properly, brows furrowed--not in anger or upset, but bemusement as she thinks those words through.]
... I'm not very good at this sort of thing. [Said slowly and carefully, as Ringo thinks.] So maybe I'm not understanding right.
But...
Does that mean it's okay if I fall in love with you?
no subject
Then comes Ringo's question, and Furina finds herself submerged. All the feelings that she's been thinking about converge and crash down at once.
There's no verbal answer yet--that's because Furina almost immediately bursts into tears.]
no subject
Oh god. Oh god, Furina's... Furina's crying?!
Ringo sits bolt upright immediately, panic on her face. It's pretty obvious that she is Not Used to Tears.]
F-Furina? Was that--was that bad?! Too much?!
no subject
No! [She sniffles.] It wasn't bad. [She wipes her face off quickly.] It's exactly the thing...I was hoping you'd say. I just couldn't be sure it was what you wanted, too.
no subject
[The relief is plain on Ringo's face at that, especially as two things sink in: first, that she isn't a horrible person who made Furina cry in a bad way, and second, that Furina... also feels the same way.
So Ringo laughs, beaming, and leans in until their foreheads are pressed together, capturing Furina's hands in her own despite how Furina is trying to wipe away her tears.]
I'm--so relieved. [God.] Wow. Relief's a wild emotion. Ha! I've only felt it a couple of times.
[Focus, Ringo.]
But, ah... no. I'm so falling in love with you. I phrased it like a question but it's kind of already happening.
no subject
But her hands are definitely a little shaky as Ringo covers them with hers, as she leans her early-morning bedhead into the face pressed against her.]
I didn't know if you... ["Could" is not the right word, since it would make Ringo sound so much less human than she's already proven herself to be. "Wanted to," maybe, would be more appropriate...it's just been difficult to tell if she's interested in romance for more than scientific reasons.]
It's been such a short while...everything's so surprising and confusing, but you always seem to see me...and I like everything about you. I don't know if I could stop it from happening if I tried. [It's a little scary, realizing you're falling in love with someone and helpless to stop it.]
